Blogtober Day 3: What are Your Favourite Holiday Traditions?

Disclaimer:  I haven't been paid to promote any products or stores, just wanted to share a holiday smile x

Hi Honeys,

How are you today?  We've had so, so much rain here and it's getting chillier so out comes the winter quilts to snuggle under and on with fluffy cardigans and even fluffier socks 😊

Even though I'm so not an autumn/fall (or winter) person I πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’— October.  I mean, it has Halloween in it πŸŽƒ 😊 Is any holiday more fun?

Halloween for me is all about decorating our tiny entryway/mudroom and making up treat bags for visiting trick or treaters.  It's about settling down to watch some favourite (slightly) spooky dvds with Hubby and our furbaby Jade and lots of snacks.

What are your favourite holiday traditions?

This year hasn't had so many smiles in it honeys so here's hoping that the rest of 2021 holds so many smiles for all of us that it'll make our faces ache from all that smiling πŸ’

Speaking of smiles, do you remember the adorable little gnomes who made me smile so much (and still do every day when I walk into our living room and see them 😊)

The meerkat gnome I'd spotted online and just couldn't resist him in his perfect little Hogwarts uniform, so naturally I named him Harry.  This was followed by the most adorable little wizard gnome ever...

Favourite Holiday Traditions: These little gnomes are still making me smile :-)

Of course I had to name him Albus, as a tribute to the much loved Hogwarts Headmaster πŸ’– He was a gift from a dear friend (Thank you Sarah, hugs honey x)  Well, they've just been joined by another little gnome, equally adorable and perfect to complete our little living room shelf unit...

Favourite Holiday Traditions: Introducing our latest lovely little gnome...

Hubby brought her home for me yesterday from Asda, where he was picking up our shop and I just adored her on sight πŸ’–  Naturally, I've named her Minerva, in honour of Professor McGonagall.  You might have guessed I'm a wee bit of a Potter fan 😊

I think our little shelf in the living room looks just perfect now, don't you honeys?  It certainly makes me smile 😊

Favourite Holiday Traditions: My little happy shelf...

I started off this post talking about holiday traditions and got a little sidetracked... I tend to do that just recently.  Well, as I said honeys, I'm so not an autumn/fall person and don't even get me started about winter...(only 168 days till spring!)

I do love Halloween though, always have 😊 and, of course, Halloween (and some other holidays actually - the Easter beagle anyone?) aren't holidays at all unless this little dvd appears...

Favourite Holiday Traditions: It's not October till this dvd appears and we help keep watch for the Great Pumpkin :-)

October isn't October until I've kept Linus and Marcie company while they watch out for the great pumpkin to arrive in the pumpkin patch.  I loved Snoopy and his friends as a child and I love them just as much now. πŸ’—

So, those are my Halloween traditions honeys, such as they are, decorating our home, spending hours making up treat bags for tiny trick or treaters and planning which dvds to watch.  Of course, I've also been known to wear a Hogwarts uniform to work and convince tiny humans that not only is Hogwarts a real school but that I'm also a student there πŸ’–

Do you love Halloween as much as I do honeys?  Which is your favourite holiday?  Do you have any holiday traditions? Are you taking part in Blogtober?  If so, please leave me a link in the comments and I'll come visit and say hello x  Thank you so much for visiting and keeping me company today, hugs always xx

Hugs always, Rosie x
