Hi Honeys
How are you today? All well I hope, and having a great week π Well, it's that time of year again! It's Harvest time for the apples on our little apple tree π
Yesterday was a really exciting day. No shift at work so, helped by my beloved little assistant, our furbaby Jade, I went out into the garden and gathered the apples from our tiny tree. Of course it helps that our tree isn't tall, there's no way you'll ever find me on a step ladder! It also helps that the apples were just falling off the tree π
It does feel very early to harvest the apples, although it's only a week or so earlier than last year, but there really was no choice in the matter. Over the past week or so we've been losing so many apples from our tiny apple tree because they're just setting out to prove Sir Issac Newton's theory by falling off the tree and bouncing off across the patio π
Every spring I watch our tiny apple tree burst into gorgeous, delicate pastel shades of white, pink, green and yellow as the apple blossom appears. The blossom eventually falls away leaving a blanket of petals on our patio looking as if we've had the prettiest wedding as it's scattered all over π
From this beautiful apple blossom lovely Bramley apples appear as if by magic. We planted our much loved little tree in the back garden of our home in the spring of 2007 knowing it would take some years before we could expect apples for our kitchen.
The very first apple, a single perfect apple, appeared in 2014 and the following year, 2015, we had three apples π
While the following year, 2016, in October, later than the now more usual earlier August harvests, we were blessed with only two apples again. They might have taken longer to grow but they were the most perfect Bramley apples! Of course, I immediately decided to make apple crumbles using these perfect apples grown in our own garden on our own tiny tree π
Last year we had our very first real crop of perfect apples and, by storing them properly we had apple crumbles all the way through till March this year! To be fair though, they lasted that long (and were still perfect when I cooked the last of them) because there are only two of us and we don't have apple crumbles or turnovers or other yummy treats every single week, we're trying to live a healthier life after all π When I did bake though, it was such a joy to know the apples I used were homegrown π‘
So, why not grab a cuppa honeys and maybe a cookie, and meet me back here and I'll share our apple adventure yesterday and how you can store your apples if you too have a little apple tree...

Picture Perfect Project: May: Sunshine & Fun in the Garden :)
Hi Honeys
I hope you're having fun and seeing all of this glorious sunshine too x Jade and I have been having such fun in the garden and of course, since we don't see a whole lot of sunshine in Scotland I've been doing lots of laundry and hanging it outside to dry. Yaaay for laundry! I do so adore it :)
Well, it's the second Thursday of the month and that means it's time for the latest post in the Picture Perfect Project link up :) Yaaaaay!!
The Picture Perfect Project is a fun link up once a month whose aim is to encourage bloggers to take more photos, increase their photography skills, make their blogs look fabulous and have so much fun along the way too :)
I'm enjoying this wonderful monthly link up so much honeys, what a fabulous way to get to meet lots of lovely new blogging friends and also to chart a whole year in the life of our much loved garden.
I so wish I had been blessed with a green thumb! I wish I'd been born one of those truly gifted people who can make anything grow, alas though, I've always felt as if our beautiful garden grows in spite of me and not because of me :/ Why not grab a coffee then then honeys and we'll have a look at what's been happening this past month...

Sunshine, Blue Skies, Furbaby Fun & Our Garden Awakes .... A perfect day!
Hi Honeys
I hope you're well and having fun in the beautiful sunshine we're being blessed with :) Yesterday was a wonderful, sunny day chock full of surprises and smiles and fun and I so wanted to share them with you :)
Of course my day started, as it always does, with hugs from our furbaby Jade :) I hadn't slept at all well but still smiled when I opened my eyes at a little after 6am to see Jade on the pillow next to me, staring at me and as soon as I opened my eyes I was set about with kisses and tail wags :) Now if that isn't a perfect start to a day I don't know what is :) Bless our wee angel she always knows when her Mum is in need of cheering up :)

My 30th Blog Post & a Free Printable!
Hello again honeys,
I am so humbled right now, and so happy. I was at Bloglovin catching up on my reading, it's becoming an addiction but I don't mind in the slightest :) Well, an alert showed and I clicked on it and it said I had reached 100 followers!
I don't know what to say, except thank you so much for anyone who has followed, and thank you so much for anyone who has visited my tiny corner of the internet and made it a little less lonely. I appreciate it more than I can say, so I wanted to do something to show how grateful I am for anyone who has taken the time to visit.

Apple Blossom has arrived!
Good afternoon honeys,
It's a rainy Sunday afternoon, mind you it is a long weekend with Bank Holiday Monday tomorrow so rain is pretty much compulsory :) What is it that makes rain more likely on bank holidays? Or is it just here :) Anyway, I thought I'd brighten the day by sharing some photos I snapped today in the garden. I hope you like them.
Our apple tree, which has yet to produce any apples, still too young yet, has this past two years shown the most gorgeous apple blossom. It's so, so pretty and I wanted to share, so here goes....
