Blogtemeber Day 20: My Guilty Pleasure...

Hi Honeys
Another day another fun challenge in Blogtember month organized by the lovely Bailey Jean of Brave Love Blog :)  Todays prompt is:  "It's guilty pleasure time! Shows, books, songs, foods, whatever it may be."
Blogtember Day 20 Whats your guilty pleasure
Have you guessed what mine is yet honeys? yep, it's the scourge of all diets, the ultimate comfort food, it's also (unfortunately) too yummy to be fair, it's... Chocolate!

So, whether it's......

Lovely Homemade Chocolate Caramel Shortbread...

Scottish Caramel Shortbread with Choc drops

Every Scot of a certain age will vividly recall this "dinner school" staple, served as dessert at least once a week with school lunches :)  Would you like to try this vintage treat honeys? You can find the recipe for this yummy treat here Enjoy! x

Or Grated Over The Top Of Banoffee Pie

Is there anyone who doesn't love this yummy treat?  The recipe for a super easy version of this scrummy banoffee pie can be found here x

Or Hot Chocolate With Mini Marshmallows

Hot chocolate with mini marshmallows
On cold winter days, or maybe just a day when smiles are hard to find, is there anything better that a lovely mug of warm, creamy hot chocolate with mini marshmallows on top? yumm :)  On a shelf in our kitchen is the jar you can see in the above photo, containing vanilla and chocolate mini marshmallows. They're great for decorating cakes, as an ingredient in Rocky Road bars or as an extra indulgent addition to the perfect mug of warm & creamy hot chocolate :)

So, there it is. My guilty pleasure is chocolate.  Do I eat it all the time? Of course not.  It wouldn't be a treat if I had it too often, but it is my "feel better" treat when I've had a bad day.  I should do something about that but you know what honeys, I don't drink alcohol and I don't smoke, so maybe an occasional mug of hot chocolate isn't so bad :)

What's your guilty pleasure honeys?  I'll be back again tomorrow with Day 21 of the Blogtember Challenge.  Till then dear ones, smile lots and hug even more :) hugs always xx

  2. Hi Rosie! Your blog is so warm and inviting! Makes me want to come visit the cottage and have hot chocolate and mini marshmallows. In my guilty pleasure I think I listed chocolate like 7 times in different shapes or forms. It is so good!!!

    1. Absolutely :) It doesn't even have to be a lot of chocolate, even just a little is enough to feel better :) Don't you hate that some foods are painted as evil in a wrapper? No food is bad for you if eaten in moderation, surely and if chocolate helps turn a frown upside down, why not have an occasional treat. Thank you for visiting Heidi, sending heaps of huggles xx
