Blogtember Day 19: One of The Best Days of My Life..

Hi Honeys
I hope you're having a fabulous weekend full of sunshine and hugs :) Can I add an extra hug? <throws huge cuddly hug> x  Hugs have to be my absolute favourite way to say hello or to wish someone a fabulous day :)

A simple wee hug has the ability to lift a person's mood (always does with this person :) and to change a day from a "meh" kind of day to a smile filled one :)  Do you know anyone who might need a hug honeys?  The world, and our lives, are so busy and time passes so fast without us even noticing it.   Before you know it children have grown up or you've lost people you really love and you'd give anything to have the chance to go back and talk a little more and to hug them more.  Why not grab the chance now?

Today is day nineteen of the Blogtember Challenge organized by the lovely Bailey Jean of Brave Love Blog.
Blogtember day 19 One of the best days of our lives
Today's prompt asks us to talk about one of the best days of our lives.  When I sat down to write this post and asked myself the question, what was the best day of your life? the first day to jump immediately into my mind, like many others I'm sure, was our wedding day.

To be sure this was indeed one of the happiest days of my life.  I married my best friend, I wore a stunning dress, we were surrounded by our family and friends and it really was happily ever after because Hubby & I are as close now as we were then. Closer actually because we've faced life together, with all of it's smiles as well as it's pain, such as losing loved ones.

I really have been blessed in my life, in that I have a couple of days that have been so wonderful as to jump into my mind alongside our wedding day :) There was the day I graduated College.  We'd worked so hard my fellow "reindeer" and I. You can read why we were known as Reindeer here honeys :)   We'd studied Law, in itself not an easy choice of course, but more than that we had set ourselves an outrageous task.  In our second year we were faced with a list of  "options."  Our course did of course have set subjects for that year but in addition we were all asked to choose several options.

Long story short we ended up completing (and passing) all of the available options in that year. Every last one of them. Why? Because we were nuts that's why! When asked which options we'd be studying by our director of studies one of us, I've been told a few times down the years that it was me (blamed :) I don't believe it was, but anyway, one of us had joked "oh we'll do all of them" to which he laughed at the idea of it! To our faces! The cheek of him!

You may not know this honeys but there is something about the Scots nature, temperament, that when we're laughed at, well we'll cut off our nose to spite our face (not really!) just to prove that laugher wrong :)  So, he laughed and as a result we almost made ourselves ill by being in the College library  most evenings after classes were over until we were literally booted out by either the Librarian or by the College janitor :)

So, yes, our graduation was a fabulous day. We were all together in our gowns and finery and we'd done it! We proved him wrong! Which was a completely silly thing to do when I look back at it because we'd have passed anyway by doing the set amount of work, as most of our classmates had done, certainly we'd have been far less stressed.  You know what though? If I could go back, I wouldn't change a thing :)

My time at College was one of the happiest periods of my life and it's left me with so many memories, all of them, absolutely all of them, good ones :) It also gave me a best friend who is closer than a sister and loved just as much. Thank you for being there all these years Miriam, here's to the next twenty years sweetheart. Whatever they bring we'll face it like we did those hellish extra options :) <huggles> xx

I wish you all as many happy memories in your lives honeys as I've been blessed with.  It doesn't have to be College, but whatever it is, wherever you find your joy,  I wish you so many good memories that you find your mind swimming with them when you try to choose a few :)  Till next time dear ones, hugs always xx
