Hi Honeys
Just a quick post before I dash off to work to share an awesome tiny collectable Hubby found for me in Poundland...
You could have knocked me over with a feather when Hubby popped this onto the coffee table in front of me when he got home from work honeys 😊
I mean... it's a tiny Loki! I know, I know.... there's a tiny Thor there too but if you've read this blog you'll have seen the adorable, tiny Loki who lives upstairs in his frame, he was a gift from a dear friend who makes them.
Of course there is also the Loki figure who now lives on that same picture ledge upstairs now too, alongside the figure of Thor actually because I mean they are brothers, in spite of their occasional falling outs and where else am I going to put a Thor figure if not alongside Loki... I'm rambling 😊
What was my point again.... oh yes! That I'm a hopeless Loki fan, an unashamed, Marvel universe loving nerd girl who can't help adoring the poor wee put upon younger Asgardian brother of Thor 💖
Did I just hear someone say but Loki is the bad guy? <shocked expression> He is not!! <stamps little foot> he's just misunderstood is all and possibly needs a hug 😊
Anyway, as I said this is just a quick post to let fellow Marvel fans know that Poundland has somehow laid hands on a mini collectable which, according to the packaging, appears to have been produced for Loot Crate, the subscription box company which provides a monthly shipment of fandom and games related collectables.
I've snapped some photos of the tiny Thor Vs Loki collectable in question so you can have a look honeys...
As you can see it's a neat little box and inside we find this...
Please Note: As you can see there is a warning on the reverse of the box that it is an adult collectable, not to be given to anyone under the age of 17. This is to prevent the possibility of tiny humans (or furbabies!) hurting themselves by biting or God forbid choking on the small parts that make up this collectable. Please be careful honeys, not just when putting it together but also where you display it, making sure it's up high enough to be out of reach of tiny humans or furbabies.
When the contents of the box are removed they are as follows...
There is the display stand which makes up the main part of the little Loki and Thor diorama, then there are the Loki and Thor figures all sealed individually in plastic waiting to be clicked together.
Once the figures are.. er... assembled <hears groans from fellow Marvel fans because of awful joke> sorry about that... couldn't resist 😉 Well, once the figures are clicked together, they can then be added to the diorama or display stand...
When complete, the contents of this tiny box become its own little action scene, with Thor and Loki about to do battle as they so often do...
This really is the sweetest little collectable honeys...
As a Marvel fan, I absolutely adore it! As a housewife who isn't the biggest fan of dusting, I'm already wondering if I can maybe find a small enough "bell jar" to sit them inside so as to avoid having to constantly take them apart in order to dust them properly.
Do you remember the display dome we found at Ikea to store our wedding cake topper honeys? Something like that only much smaller would be perfect.
One of the tiny niggles I find in being a collector (other than that the house becomes quite cluttered as the years pass) is the abundance of dust ready and waiting to leap onto every surface of anything that has, like this precious little diorama, too many nooks and crannies and places for dust to land and hide.
How did I get on to the subject of dusting? 😊 You can take the pinny off the housewife but you can't take the housewifey thoughts away 😊 What do you think honeys? Are you a Marvel fan like me? Have you seen these tiny dioramas before?
I really wouldn't have expected a Loot Crate exclusive to have ended up in Poundland but all kinds of things pop up all over the place lately.
According to the box, this little Loot Crate exclusive was made part of a 2017 box and I managed to find a video on you tube which has the box in question being unpacked. If you go watch, please do say hello to the vlogger, everyone works really hard on their videos and it's nice to have feedback. Thank you honeys x
