Hi Honeys,
How are you today? Our furbaby Jade & I are sharing the sofa and a large sherpa throw today to battle the chill. We reached -7C yesterday! Today was (just a little bit) warmer thankfully, so I thought, while Jade is having a nap, I'd share my latest Potter smiles...
Does anyone else adore stationery as much as I do? Go on, don't be bashful, dear ones. It can't just be me who immediately finds the stationery section of every store she's in and collects note books like they're never going to be printed again π π
Now, I mention my being a complete (and unashamed) stationery addict because most of this latest mini haul is made up of lovely, fabulous, stationery items. Apart from the first item that is, which is a very practical "pop into your bag till its needed" type item but it's also adorably cute π
I'll share all in a few minutes but since there are quite a few photos in this post (as always) why not go grab a cuppa, and maybe a cookie, and join me back here in a few minutes (just press the "read more" link below to read the full post...)
Welcome back honeys π Do you have your cuppa? Me too π☕ Good grief it's cold outside! The grass in the back garden is all covered in frost.⛄
I'm still counting down to Spring, as I do every year π· There are 16 weeks or 120 days until the start of Spring and I just can't wait.πΉπΈπΊπΌπ» If you'd like to count down too, there is a beautiful page to do just that right here.
You know in (my version of) a perfect world, we would have spring then summer and then it would loop back into Spring again π» Oh, but Rosie! Autumn is beautiful I hear you say.
I'm sure it is dear ones, in some places. I've seen gorgeous photos online, but in the wise words of the wonderful Scottish comedian Billy Connolly "In Scotland, there are two seasons. June and Winter." <sighs> Autumn and winter tend to meld one into the other here honeys, in this wee bit of Scotland anyway and I so love the sunshine π
Cotton Tote Bag
Enough about the frosty grass outside and onto the mini Potter haul then π First item is a very practical and very adorable cotton tote bag. I have a few of these tote bags honeys and love them. They're well made and seem to have never-ending space inside.
I've also bought a few of the Potter themed totes from Poundland too. The designs are lovely but the Poundland totes are smaller and I actually bought those to make cushion covers with. It's still on my to do list, I must try to catch up on my sewing projects after the holidays are over. I'l share when I get them done honeys.
I wasn't actually looking for another Potter tote bag but I spotted this one online and just had to have it. I love those little Chibi versions of the Potter characters π How sweet is this pattern honeys...
It's well worth a mention too that sustainable cotton has been used to make these tote bags, well done Primark, you guys rock π
Chibi Character Pen Set
Staying with those adorable little Chibi versions of the Potter characters honeys I spotted this set of four pens..
I use a pen at work all the time, so why not have a pen with me that makes me smile π I do like that the pens have different designs, in addition to a different little chibi character on top. What I really like though are the broader rubber (or maybe silicone? not sure honeys) pieces where your hand grips the pen to write.
As a Spoonie, with painful arthritis in my hands, this helps minimise the pain in my hands when I write. Thank you again Primark, it's the little touches that makes things fabulous π
Magnetic To Do List
Next up is another Chibi character product. A large, magnetic board with a "to do" list attached. It has a pen as part of the set, again adorned with those adorable little Chibi versions of Harry, Ron Hermione and Hedwig....
The little Chibi Potter characters appear again on the reverse of the large, magnet backed board, as you can see, with a large magnet attached to the top of the board to attach it to a metal surface such as the fridge...
I do really like these little cartoon versions of the Potter characters honeys. They make me smile π
Set Of Three Note Books
I know, I know. More notebooks π
First, an apology. I'm so sorry my photos haven't caught how lovely these little notebooks are. I took so, so many photos, with a flash, without the flash, in natural daylight, with the curtains closed. I just couldn't capture the gold embossing on the covers properly, as you can see...
Inside the notebooks, two have lined pages with illustrations on the lower, outer corners while the third note book (the red one in the middle in the above photo) has blank pages.
At only £2 for a set of three note books these would make a great little gift to make any Potter fan smile I think.
Hard-Backed, Spiral Bound, A5 Notebook
ππππ this honeys! Again, I'm so sorry. Try as I did, and I really did, I took so many photos! I just couldn't take a photo that even came close to showing how beautiful this notebook is...
It's a hard-backed, spiral bound, A5 sized note book with the loveliest, shiniest, gold embossed cover, showing all four houses and the Hogwarts crest in the middle. The spiral binding is also gold coloured and the edges of the pages are all gold tooπ
The inner cover and first page of the note book is adorned with a pattern of symbols, this is repeated on the inner back sleeve too.
The inner pages of this beautiful note book are lined and have the same illustrations as the smaller note books on the lower, outside corners.
This really is one of the loveliest notebooks I've seen in a long time honeys, it really does feel special and I was shocked that it only cost £3 because it looks far more expensive. I feel spoiled to have it in my collection π
Wand Pens
Yaaaay!! There is another set of wand shaped pens available, this time designed to look like Harry's wand (as in the other sets) but this time also having a copy of Lord Voldemort's wand too...
As with the other wand pens, you simply remove the "handle" of the wand to reveal the pen inside..
Much as I love all of the items above, you can never have too many wand shaped pens if you ask me, workmates aren't even surprised anymore π It's odd honeys, I know I'm all Slytherin in my Potterish-ness but I can't honestly say that a copy of the wand of "he who must not be named" has ever been high on my wants list.
This though is the second Voldemort wand I've gotten this month! The other one is a gorgeous eye shadow make up brush that came as part of the Harry Potter Dark Arts Collectable Set.
If you'd like to see the contents of that set honeys you can see it here. I've been saving the best for last...
Harry Potter Stationery Set
A Potter themed stationery set which has a weekly planner, a Hogwarts pen, lightning bolt paper clips and assorted sized post it type notes. Sorry. I just made that odd squeal noise again just looking at the photo π There are no words honeys, for how fabulous this set is. Well, in my humble little opinion anyway π
I can't help it, I'm a stationery addict π I've never met a notebook I didn't love and there are simply not enough pens, paperclips, planners and especially note books in the world for me π I know, I'm a lost cause π
This awesome set ticks all the boxes dear ones. It's useful, it's Potter world themed, and looks just lovely on my desk π
There is a generous pad of weekly planner pages with eight boxes to write in, one for each day of the week and an extra box marked spells. Each day of the week box has a design and a spell printed in it. Monday has a flying key and "alohomora" written in it. Tuesday has a feather with "wingardium leviosa" while Wednesday's box has a deer's head design with "expecto patronum!."
Thursday's box has a snake with "serpensortia" while Friday's box is the only one without a spell, instead having a stack of textbooks and the word astronomy printed under them. For the last two boxes on the planner, Saturday's box has a stars & light illustration with the word "lumos" and Sunday's box has two wands crossed and the word "expelliarmus" inside.
The final box, as you can see honeys, simply says Spells and has lines to write any notes (or spells) on. There is also a pen in the set. A grey pen with a gold coloured scroll with Hogwarts written across it.
Above the planner pages and pen are six gold coloured, lightning shaped paper clips. The set is completed by a set of four post it note type pads. The larger of these pads of sticky notelets has a shadow design of Hogwarts itself with a scroll in front of it saying "Astronomy Class" and under the scroll, it says "first year students."
The three smaller pads of sticky notes have a symbol, inside a circle, printed on them and with a different spell written inside each circle too. There are "wingardium leviosa" "alohomora" and lumos.
So, that's my latest mini haul honeys. Are you a Potter fan? Have you spotted any interesting, new, Potter items recently? What's been making you smile? Potter related or not.
Stay warm and safe in this cold snap dear ones, and please remember that your furbabies feel the cold too. Why not snuggle on the sofa with your furbaby? Till next time, smile lots and hug even more, hugs always xx
