Hi Honeys,
How are you today? It's been all go here in the run up to the holidays and we've had a fabulous few days with my much loved brother in law who's been visiting. I made some more of those yummy, healthy doughnuts and Hubby's manage to collect (almost) the last of this year's leaves from the back garden.
Our little apple tree, and the blueberry shrub, both look so bare now honeys, but it won't be long till the garden is waking up again from it's (too) long winter nap. I so miss my roses πΉ
Hubby was in town a few days ago and brought me home the sweetest gift (thank you sweetheart x) It's a Wonder Woman themed gift set, by Soap and Glory, and it's so perfect I wanted to share π
There are lots of photos in this post dear ones, so why not go grab a cuppa (and maybe a cookie) and I'll meet you back here in a few minutes. (just click on the read more link below x)
Welcome back honeys π Do you have your cuppa? Me too ☕πͺ Why not put your feet up and get comfy and we'll take a look shall we?
I know it'll give my age away, but as a much younger Rosie π I adored the 1970s Wonder Woman TV series. It starred Lynda Carter as the beautiful, crime fighting super hero and there was no budging me away from the TV when it was on. We had the best TV in the 70s π
The Soap and Glory set is called the Wonder Woman Fab-U-Stash and comes packaged in the most awesome bag π Really honeys, I so, so love this bag! It's quite large, with a zip-around top, it's the most beautiful shade of rose gold-y pink and with the pink and gold stripes around the middle, it has a definite vintage feel to it.
The Wonder Woman logo appears on the front of the bag, printed in gold, and there is a carry handle on the top. The Wonder Woman logo is carried through onto the metal zip pull which is in the shape of a golden star.
When opened, the bag is lined in pink and has a cardboard inner packaging piece, in order to keep the bag in shape I assume, although the bag sits perfectly fine, even when the cardboard is removed...
Inside the bag are the products that make up the set, beautifully presented, with some of the items wrapped up in the pretty Soap and Glory tissue paper. Such a nice touch I think honeys, it makes the set feel special and very much like a gift.π
Products included in the set are as follows...
First item out of the bag was the large (500 ml) bottle of Clean On Me shower gel. This was the first Soap and Glory product I ever fell in love with (a few years ago now lol) and if I were ever to be a castaway on an island miles from anywhere I'd be just fine if I had a few bottles of this fabulous shower gel and a never-ending tub of The Righteous Butter π Joy!! π
Speaking of that fabulous jar of skin smoothness π Also included in this gift set is a limited edition Wonder Woman themed jar of The Righteous Butter...
It's the same pretty, pink container with the only difference being the Wonder Woman image on the lid and that it contains 200 ml of the gorgeously scented body butter instead of the usual 300ml, but it's great that my two absolutely favourite Soap and Glory products have been included in the set π
Also included is this quite fabulous, star shaped soap on a rope...
This is such a blast from the past honeys π Does anyone else remember being given little "soap on a rope" soaps (as well as talc, bubble bath etc) as a child? Mine mostly were from Avon and it's been so many years since I've seen one. Happy memories of a (much) younger me π
Next then, onto the first of the two beautifully wrapped packages included in this set. I really do like this pretty tissue paper they're presented in, it's just lovely...
Inside the first package are the following items...
First is a new (to me at least) product called Glow Forth. It's a shimmering body oil with the same gorgeous "original pink" scent as the soap on a rope and it definitely shimmers because it has the tiniest golden flecks through it.
On the shimmery, golden, bottle it says "it's time to glow forth and conquer the party!" I smoothed a little onto the back of my hand and it does look very sparkly when I move my hand. I can imagine it sparkling away under party lights while dancing, so it's perfect for the Christmas party season. π
Also in the package is a Spectaculips lip plumping gloss in Plums Up and a Supercat liquid eye liner pen in black. Both of these products will make their way into my make up collection even though I rarely wear make up anymore.
Onto that second beautifully wrapped package, and also the last product in the set then honeys...
Inside the almost triangular shaped package is a very carefully wrapped Wonder Woman themed version of the bath fizz-a-ball...
The bath fizzer is, as you can see, in the shape of the Wonder Woman logo and before wrapping, has been placed inside a protective piece of foam to keep it safe. It too has the same beautiful "original pink" scent as the Glow Forth oil and the soap on a rope.
This is such a lovely set honeys. So many cool products included and I really do love the bag they're all packaged in. It's very me and I'm looking forward to deciding what to use it for. Hubby bought it for me from Boots, the only place the Soap and Glory items are available I think?
At the time of writing this post, the price of this set has been reduced from £50 down to £20 you can see it online here. The Soap and Glory gift sets do tend to be great value for money but it's always interesting to find out how much the items included in the set would cost if purchased individually.
Soap and Glory Items Included In This Set:
Clean On Me Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel (500 ml) cost per bottle: £6.50
The Righteous Butter (200 ml) exclusive to this set (but would normally cost £3.33 per 100 ml) £6.66
Soap and Glory Wonder Woman Soap Hero: Packed in a cute little tin when bought separately, it's priced it £4.80
Glow Forth Body Shimmer Dry Oil: Available in a boxed edition, in the same 100 ml size bottle, and priced at £10.00
Spectaculips Lip Plumping Gloss in Plums Up shade: The only Spectaculips product on the Boots website is a "matte-allic" shade so again it might be exclusive to this set? The other shade costs £8.00 for the same amount of product (7 ml)
Supercat Liquid Eye Liner Pen (in carbon black) Available separately priced at £6.50
Wonder Woman themed bath fizz-a-ball: Another exclusive to this set product it seems as I can't find it online. The other Soap and Glory bath fizz-a-ball, at 100 g, costs £4 though so this item, a 240G fizz-a-ball would be priced (using Boots cost of £4 per 100g) at £9.60! (I had Hubby check this on a calculator because it seemed odd to me but there it is honeys π)
So, if we add up the cost of the items honeys, it totals: £52.06 before taking the too fabulous bag into account. So, while on special at £20 it's definitely a bargain but, as much as I ❤❤❤ Soap and Glory bath products (if you could see our bathroom you'd know how true this is, it's like a branch of Boots in there lol π) I'm not sure I'd pay the full price of £50.
I'm just loving this set though, it has my two favourite products (a huge bottle of Clean On Me and a jar of The Righteous Butter) and I'm loving the adorable soap on a rope π Mostly though, my inner (much) younger Rosie is just adoring the memories of so many evenings spent in front of the TV and sitting in my room reading my comics π I'm loving this set and I'm so glad Hubby got it for me, thank you sweetheart x
This is actually the first year I haven't bought the huge special edition Christmas set that's released every year. I always look forward to it but to be honest, every item included in this year's set is currently sitting in our bathroom already and I have more than enough products right now, also it's again been packed into a very large collectable tin.
It's a really lovely container, designed by artist Zuki Turner who also designed last year's large container but I don't know what I'd do with it when I take the products out. I still have last year's tin sitting upstairs and I have to admit I do miss those lovely huge toiletry bags the sets used to come packed in.
Over to you then honeys, are you a fan of any of the Soap and Glory products? Do you have a favourite?
Till next time dear ones, stay warm, smile lots and hug even more, hugs always xx
