Hope you're well and having a great day :) Having had a meat free dinner of Spinach & Feta Cheese Quiche (you can find the recipe here) on Wednesday, last night I made one of Hubby's favourite dinners for him, and I thought I'd post the recipe for you.

Quick & Easy Beefaroni Recipe
Hi Honeys,
Hope you're well and having a great day :) Having had a meat free dinner of Spinach & Feta Cheese Quiche (you can find the recipe here) on Wednesday, last night I made one of Hubby's favourite dinners for him, and I thought I'd post the recipe for you.
This really is the easiest, quickest evening meal to make honeys. It's delicious, filling and warming to come home to if its chilly or rainy outside, and so easy to adapt to make it your own too. There are so many ways to change this, but more of that later :) For now....

Rosie's Extra Yummy Spinach & Feta Cheese Quiche
Hi Honeys,
For a while now Hubby & I have been trying to be a little healthier. Part of this has been putting a little more thought into not just what I cook for our evening meals, but also what ingredients I use. I use olive oil now where I might have used vegetable oil before, and I'm always on the look out for new ingredients to combine in different ways to keep dinner interesting.
Last night I made a quiche, nothing new, it's one of our favourite meals and there are so many variables on what you use in a quiche. Cheddar cheese and red onion is one of our favourites, for instance. Last night though I made a spinach & feta cheese quiche which was truly delicious and I thought I'd share the recipe with you.

So, here it is. The quickest banoffee pie recipe ever that is so simple it might as well make itself :) It's also delicious & sticky & sweet & downright yummy :)

Reindeer Happiness in May!
Hello again honeys :)
Just a quick post to share a little retail therapy happiness :) While shopping, in a far too busy Asda (OMG the noise! the crowds!) I had a quick glimpse through their "final clearance" sale rail and actually made a small squeal noise :) LOL I actually squealed!

Delicious Sponge Cake With Banana Whipped Cream Filling & Cream Cheese Frosting!
Disclaimer: I haven't been paid to promote any products, just sharing the results of my latest kitchen experiment after wandering off into the kitchen just a teeny bit bored 😊 The result will, I'm sure, become one of our favourite sponge cake recipes. This cake was such fun to make, extra yummy to eat and I've found another way to avoid wasting ripe bananas too, which I absolutely adore 😋 Enjoy x
Hello honeys :)
Hope you're having a wonderful day so far 💖 It's been a great day here. I've managed to do lots of laundry and now I'm having a cuppa and thought I'd share what happened yesterday afternoon. I found myself at a loose end with literally nothing to do, so I wandered off into the kitchen and this happened......
I think I may well have created something extremely yummy 😋 Seriously honeys, this filling is a dream! The frosting is something else too 😋 So, as much as I wish I could send slices across the internet to you all (how cool would that be?) until technology allows us to send cake, what I can do is to share how I made it and hope that you'll love it too. To the kitchen dear ones, lets grab our aprons...

My Super Easy, Never Fails, Lasagne Recipe!
Hello again honeys,
Today I made my hubby's favourite dinner and I thought I'd share it with you. I know there are as many recipes for lasagne as there are cooks who make it, and so I can only share my own method, tweaked and refined over the past 15 years or so till I found the method that hubby likes best :)

Smiles in the Garden :)
Hello honeys,
Just a short post to share a smile I had today in the garden with my furbaby Jade. While throwing Jade's ball for her, which I'm pretty rubbish at because of my shoulders (and she doesn't even seem to mind, bless her :) Well, today, I noticed some daisies :)
Sounds silly I know but I've always loved daisies. They make me happy just by existing :) So, today while in the garden with Jade, when I saw some daisies growing among the grass on the lawn it so cheered me and I just wanted to share :)
Of course they're not roses, and I do so love roses, but I really do think that daisies are the friendliest, happiest flowers, each one is a perfect little smile :)
I had promised in an earlier post which you can read here that I'd snap a few photos of our beautiful red peonies when they bloom and whilst they haven't bloomed yet, they are starting to show their gorgeous colour, a rich deep burgundy, just peeking out from their buds, so I snapped another photo to let you see how they're progressing and I will definitely post again when they've bloomed properly.
They're so beautiful when in full bloom and I so can't wait to share them with you :) I hope you're having a great day today honeys, full of smiles of your own. Do you have a favourite flower? Isn't summer just the best time of year? Thank you so much for visiting, sending heaps of hugs xxx

Lower Hall Finally Complete!
Hi Honeys :)
If you've been reading my blog lately you'll know that hubby and I have been trying to make some order out of the lower hall & front door (mudroom) area of our home. Well I think we've managed it, I think its as orderly as it's going to get and I have to admit I'm loving it :)
At first glance it does look a little busy, but everything has a reason for being exactly where it is, everything has a definite function & is useful in maintaining order & the smooth running of our home.

Inverted Shelf Unit As A Desk Hutch!
Disclaimer: I wasn't paid or given any products to write this post, just wanted to share my latest wee smile is all.
Hello again honeys,
Hope everyone's had a fabulous weekend :) Today's post is an organizational post with a difference in that it's not really about organizing, although it could so easily be used to do that. Hubby has set up a set of cubbies or a sort of hutch above my desk for me that started out life as a DVD shelf! Doesn't it look wonderful....
I can't tell you how much I'm loving this 💗

Beautiful Melamine Plate As Kitchen Décor!
Good afternoon honeys
I posted yesterday about the prettiest vintage design melamine plate I'd found to hang in the kitchen, you can see the post here, well last night while doing a quick shop I found a different design & its so pretty I just wanted to share it with you.
I love the bunting pattern, it's so bright and colourful and we all need a little "love & sunshine" :) It's a little larger than the vintage design plate and we've already decided where to hang it. Do you remember the mudroom (front door/entryway) organization? we're going to hang it out there. A splash of colour against the white wood panelled walls. Again, I found it in Asda's seasonal aisle with their summer/picnic range and as with the vintage design plate it was only £1.29. A bargain for something that made me smile the instant I saw it :)
I've always loved bunting, it makes me think of warm days, summer fairs and altogether just makes me smile :) I hope you're having a wonderful weekend honeys and that it's sunny where you are. Rain here today I'm afraid but it won't dampen my mood :) Hubby has been his sweet self as usual and treated me to a sort of small cubby shelving unit for above my tiny desk in the living room. It will be so useful and help to organize my desk but more of that in my next post. Till then dear ones, have a great day and an even better weekend, sending you heaps of hugs and wishing you mountains of "love & sunshine" xx

Vintage Design Plate as Kitchen Décor
Hi honeys,
just a short post to show you something I'm silly excited about :) I love vintage! It is my greatest sadness that I wasn't born 30 years before I was. I adore vintage fashion, I spend the longest time on pinterest staring at all things vintage and longing to climb inside the photographs!
You can see my boards here Rosie's Cottage Vintage Board and my personal vintage board. So you can imagine I was thrilled while shopping in Asda to see this......

Mudroom Organized At Last & Blank Printable :)
Hello again honeys :)
I love Pinterest, there I said it :) I've spent countless hours there, clicking on pins & reading fabulous blog posts and wonderful articles in magazines, wishing I could organize our home even half as well. I kept seeing pins referring to a "mudroom." Naturally, not knowing what such a beastie might be, I was intrigued :)
It turns out that a mudroom is the entryway to our home. The place where dirty shoes & boots should be left to avoid tracking mud through the home. In our case this equates to the tiny little space (and it really is tiny) we have between our front door and the inner door we have that then leads into our hallway.
This weeny space is what we've always used to hang coats, drop off shoes, bags, gloves and hats. So honeys, having found out what a mudroom is, and then working out that we actually have a tiny one, We looked at it and thought "let's put some order into this dumping ground for coats & shoes" and using 4 green plastic crates we had upstairs and a few baskets, we did :)
As you can see we placed the crates two across and two high. The crates have holes in their sides (its their design) and hubby securely fastened them together using broad Velcro tape through these holes. It gave us a secure little set of 4 cubbies.

Mail Sorting Made Easy & Pretty Label Printable :)
Hi Honeys,
As you know in my last post, which you can see here, I showed you a little organisational hub we've set up at the bottom of our stairs. As promised, I thought I'd show you another of the purchases we made at Ikea and how it fits within our little home hub, serving the purpose of sorting our mail as it comes in the door.
This latest addition to our little organisational command space is called PYSSLINGAR, we bought it from Ikea. As you can see I also made some pretty little labels for the pockets of this organiser and have included the printable within this post for you.

Blue Skies printable!
Hello honeys,
Since the printable I posted earlier this week was quite popular (thank you so much to all who visited and downloaded) I thought I'd post another one, since summer appears to be arriving, yaaay!
I so love summer! I love blue skies, fluffy clouds, long days, the smell of freshly cut grass and the warmth of the sun on my face. It's such a joy to wake up and see the sun streaming through the windows and I tried to catch that feeling with this printable. The photograph was taken in our back garden and I so hope that you like it :)
So, here it is honeys, you can download from here. It's again sized at 8 x 10inches and again all I ask is that you download it for personal use only, so no Etsy use etc. Have a fabulous weekend honeys, see you again soon, hugs xx

Classic & Oh So Classy Court Shoes!
Disclaimer: I haven't been paid to write this post, the images belong to the respective companies & no infringement is intended, I just love shoes and wanted to draw attention to some beautiful styles you might have missed :)
Hello again honeys,
In my recent post about those wonderful footwear known as wedges :) I mentioned one of my other favourite outfits for feet are court shoes. I've adored them for as long as I can remember. Seen being worn in all of those old black & white noir movies I loved growing up I always thought THAT'S what a lady should wear. They're classy, they're so smart, they make an outfit "special" know what I mean? They scream to be teamed with a hat, smart handbag & gloves!
I was SO born too late! I long to live in a time when ladies wore hats & gloves, it's a look that makes my heart just glow with happiness. So, on to my favourite contemporary versions of this classic, classy look known as a court shoe.

A New Use For Desk's Keyboard Shelf
Hi honeys
It's been too long since I've done an organizing post, so I thought I'd show you what I did with the pretty much wasted space under my desk, also known as the keyboard shelf.
I adore my little desk, it's very small and fits just neatly into the corner of our living room, but it has a pull out shelf intended for a keyboard, mouse mat & mouse. Whilst this was needed back in the day when we all had desktop computers, in todays age of laptops, tablets and smart phones it tends to be wasted space. So, having decided I wasn't happy with this waste of valuable desktop real estate (well it is a very small desk) this is what I did.....

My 30th Blog Post & a Free Printable!
Hello again honeys,
I am so humbled right now, and so happy. I was at Bloglovin catching up on my reading, it's becoming an addiction but I don't mind in the slightest :) Well, an alert showed and I clicked on it and it said I had reached 100 followers!
I don't know what to say, except thank you so much for anyone who has followed, and thank you so much for anyone who has visited my tiny corner of the internet and made it a little less lonely. I appreciate it more than I can say, so I wanted to do something to show how grateful I am for anyone who has taken the time to visit.

Apple Blossom has arrived!
Good afternoon honeys,
It's a rainy Sunday afternoon, mind you it is a long weekend with Bank Holiday Monday tomorrow so rain is pretty much compulsory :) What is it that makes rain more likely on bank holidays? Or is it just here :) Anyway, I thought I'd brighten the day by sharing some photos I snapped today in the garden. I hope you like them.
Our apple tree, which has yet to produce any apples, still too young yet, has this past two years shown the most gorgeous apple blossom. It's so, so pretty and I wanted to share, so here goes....

Are Wedges The Perfect Summer Shoe?
Disclaimer: I haven't been paid or offered any kind of re-imbursement for this post, it's just me loving wedges :)
Hi Honeys, welcome back :)
In my last blog post I proclaimed my love for Maxi dresses :) Love them! You might have noticed in that post that I mentioned how great each dress would look when teamed with wedges :) I adore wedges! What? you noticed? Hee hee! I'm a wedge bore I'm afraid, fell in love with them when I got my very first pair at the age of 14. Bright red they were & I felt like I was walking on air, I was so happy with them :)
So, anyway, I thought I'd write a companion post to maxi dresses on these wonderful, ever so funky, joyful footwear wonders known as wedges :)

Summer's almost here! Time for Maxis!
Disclaimer: I wasn't paid to write this post.
Hello again honeys,
With the weather here being a wee bit dreich... that is to say dreary, dull, miserable, entirely without cheer lol, we're basically talking "keep the curtains closed and stay inside" kinda weather :) So, to cheer myself up, I decided to post about happier things!
Today is May 1st, and it's May day. We are, and have been for several weeks now (are you listening weather?) officially enjoying British Summer time. What that means is that we ladies get to wear what is one of the most perfect, most comfortable, flatters all shapes & sizes and makes every woman feel amazing pieces of clothing. The Maxi dress!!
I so love Maxis :) They can be dressed up for evening wear with the addition of some pretty jewellery & stunning heels, or mixed with either flats or wedges (LOVE wedges) and some statement jewellery for day wear. There are some seriously lovely designs around for this summer and I thought I'd share some of my favourites...
