6 (More) New Products From Ikea I'm Loving💝

Disclaimer:  I haven't been paid to recommend any products, just sharing my latest favourite products from what my Hubby calls "my happy place" (and he's right too😊)

 Hi Honeys,

How are you today?  I hope you're well and staying warm. The temperature has definitely changed over the past week or so.  Time for the heating to go on, ours is on already.  As I type this, our furbaby Jade is napping in her bed in front of the fire bless her.  She's twelve now and not as active as she used to be.  She loves her naps, and cuddles with her Mum on the sofa (and walkies with her Dad too of course💖)

Like all of us I'm sure, I've been keeping our American cousins in my thoughts and prayers after hurricane Ian swept through this week. Hoping everyone is safe🙏We apparently saw the much weakened effects of it when it reached us in the UK with high winds and torrential rain.  Keeping our American cousins in my prayers🙏

This hasn't been the best year, it hasn't even been the best couple of years honeys to be honest. Things have to get better though, they just do🤗

Six (more) new Ikea products I love...

Today is the first day of October, how did that happen?  Where has this year gone to?  Well, the first day of October of course, other than meaning yet another year has raced past us far too fast, it also means Blogtober is here.

Blogtober means that bloggers take on the task of writing and publishing thirty one blog posts in thirty one days during this month. It's a great deal of work but it's also a great deal of fun too😊  Welcome then, to the first day of Blogtober for 2022🤗💖

You might remember that I recently shared six new Ikea products I've been really loving and I thought for the first post of this years Blogtober, why not start off back in my "happy place😍

Today's post then honeys will share six (more) new (to me) items from Ikea.  It's got lots of pics, as usual, so it might be worth grabbing a cuppa (and maybe a cookie or two) and settling down somewhere comfy.  See you back here in a few minutes...

Back again honeys?  Do you have your cuppa? Me too ☕🍪 Let's check out some Ikea goodies shall we...

1. KNÖLIG

Six (more) new Ikea products I love: This adorable little KNÖLIG Mini bag purse is as practical as it is cute! Love it💝

This has to be the SMALLEST BAG Ikea have ever made honeys and IT'S JUST SO adorABLe💖😍

It's just a tiny, perfect version of their instantly recognisable Ikea shopper all shrunk down to size. It has the same cloth handles, the little "Ikea" tag on the side and is even made from the same blue, woven material as their full size shoppers.  This tiny version though, has a full length zip along the top and a chain with fitting, allowing it to be attached to things, like a keyring.

There are so many uses for this adorable wee bag! It immediately struck me as a perfect place for loose change (for parking meters, for toll fees, for your morning paper on the way to work - does anyone do that anymore?)  You could attach it to a backpack or inside your handbag to hold small, needed things.  Like an always needed chapstick now that we're headed into cooler months.

You can find details of this tiny, adorable thing here honeys💝

2. STORSTOMMA

Six (more) new Ikea products I love: The beautiful, brightly coloured STORSTOMMA bags, in two sizes with their gorgeous rainbow pattern.

Just seeing the photo (above) makes me smile😍 The larger of the two bags in the above image has been available at Ikea for such a long time in different patterns and designs.  This rainbow design just made me smile and seeing the lovely bright colours just makes me happy💖.

Again, this larger bag has so many uses.  It makes a great storage bag for quilts, duvets, throws and cushions.  Does anyone else have far too many cushions?💖  I've used mine in place of a laundry bag to take laundry outside to peg onto the line.  It's so pretty it doubles as decor and it could be stood up in a corner of a children's room to be used to store stuffed toys or any other toys too.

The smaller bag is beyond perfect for shopping because it has two extra (four altogether) handles that can make it so easy to carry as a shoulder bag, freeing up your hands to open car doors or front doors.  It also folds away to be easily carried in your handbag, ready to save the day if you have to pop in for "a few bits" from the shops on your way home.

You can find the smaller shoulder bag here honeys and the larger version can be found here.

3. STANDARDMÅTT

Six (more) new Ikea products I love: The STANDARDMÅTT shaker is great for mixing protein shakes in, measuring ingredients while cooking and for storage in the fridge too.

The STANDARDMÅTT shaker is great for mixing protein shakes in, measuring ingredients while cooking and for storage in the fridge too.  It's also great for making pancake batter or mixing ingredients for a cake/sponge mix.

The measures printed on the side of the shaker are in both ML as well as fluid ounces and the lid fits well and seems secure.  I actually liked this shaker so much more than my measuring jug, so much so that I bought a second one💖 It's also very inexpensive as well, you can see it HERE honeys. Honestly, the only thing that would make it perfect would be for it to be in glass rather than in plastic.

4. IKEA 365+

Six (more) new Ikea products I love: This set of three small glass containers, with click and lock lids, are from the Ikea 365+ range and Hubby uses this set to store his loose leaf teas.

The fourth item in this little list is a set of three tiny glass food containers, with click and lock lids, from the Ikea +365 collection😍

We've been collecting the different sized containers in this series for the past few years honeys and have quite a collection now.  They're stored on two little trolleys in our kitchen that double as a meal prepping island.  The osteoarthritis in my spine doesn't allow me to stand for very long anymore and these trolleys allow me to sit while prepping vegetables, making pastry or anything else.

Six (more) new Ikea products I love: The latest additions to the Ikea 365+ are a set of three mini glass food containers and they've joined our collection. Love them!

As you can see (from the first photo) honeys, the set of three mini glass containers are currently being used for loose leaf teas.  They have an airtight seal so it keeps the teas fresh too.  It's taken us a while to build up our little collection as I said, but after reading how chemicals can leach into food from plastic, well the first to go were Hubby's containers he used for his packed lunches and then we kept going.

These mini glass containers may be small but they're ideal to use for left overs in the fridge or lots of other uses too.  Now that Hubby's using them for his teas though we'll need another set😊 You can find the set of three small glass containers here.

5. PÄRKLA

Six (more) new Ikea products I love: These new shoe storage bags from the PÄRKLA range are fabulous! They have so many uses beyond just storing of shoes...

Around three years ago we first found a new zip up, storage case.  Designed to go under beds on top of wardrobes, in cupboards or anywhere else that could help store out-of-season clothes or extra bedding etc.  We have them in our linen cupboard now and on top of the wardrobe.  They've lasted really well and we use one of those vacuum bags inside each of them too which increases their storage capacity.

The large, zipped shoe bag in the photo above is another product in that range and it's perfect for so many things, not just shoe storage.  They hold quite a lot so could be used to store scarves, hats and gloves to keep your entryway tidy.  The bag in the image above is home to my collection of small soft house slippers.  At the time of my writing this post, these bags only cost 50p each and are great quality.  You can find details here honeys.

6.  SLIBB

Six (more) new Ikea products I love:

For the last product (in this post) honeys, I've chosen this set of eight "hanging clothes pegs."  In the product description, on the Ikea website, they're shown attached to free standing airers/dryers but as you can see, I've attached them to our indoor "pulley."  I can attach smaller items, like socks, that might fall off the pulley or, as I have done already, I can pin slippers to dry when I've put them through a wash.

The pegs are very strong (no one needs a heavy slipper falling on their head!) and even though we haven't had them very long, I can't imagine what we did without them😊 You can find out more about these hanging clothes pegs here

Well, there we have it honeys.  Six (more) new Ikea products I'm loving just now and the first post in this year's Blogtober.  Have you used any of these products?  Have you spotted anything new that I've missed?  If so, let me know about it in the comments below💖

Till tomorrow then dear ones, thank you for keeping me company, stay warm and safe everyone, hugs always x

Hugs always, Rosie xx
